Theorically my next step would have been Plitvice waterfalls, the undeniable greatest natural wonder of Croatia, but my enthusiasm was a bit cooled by the entrance price: 110 kunas (15 euros). So, following the advice of Majia, a very nice student girl from Zagreb who hang out a lot with me there, I took a bus ticket to Slunj, about 60km South from Zagreb, 30km far from Plitvice, where is Rastoke site,smaller waterfalls, and that you can visit for free. And I was not desappionted: very close to the tiny city of Slunj and very easy to reach, I found Korana river, that flows through Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovine. It's was such a great moment to walk along the water, seing  many waterfalls from different size falling into it, and following the powerful current moving toward Plitvice. Also the site is quite special, since all around remain old mills, wooden houses in which the grain is milled, and that are still working.









I had some 4 hours to spend before taking a bus to Split, and I had some food to make a picnic, a great company: Voltaire and his ingenuous! and I felt a great impression of fullness and I was really happy with the choice I made to come here!
